The journey of birthing your own drum is a powerful one, a beautiful way to honour your life story, to set intentions to what you wish to work towards, what you wish to connect with and bring forward. There is a beautiful tale about how the drum is like a boat and the beater is the oar, when we play it we use it to connect us to the higher power and to ancient wisdom.
